Center of Computational Technology
/University of Latvia
Department of Physics and Mathematics/
Institute of Physics did participate
in creation of the Center.
The Center offers teaching and training
in application of modern state-of-the-art numerical methods of computation
of physical fields using commercial software (FLUENT, ANSYS, Schlumberger
ECLIPSE a.o.) with powerful Silicon Graphics workstations with total computional
power of 0.5 GFlops and 1 GB RAM.
These methods allow simulation of
hydrodynamical, geological, chemical and byological processes in environment
and technological devices.
Director of the Center -Leonids
Buligins, Dr.Phys.
Center also offers consultancy in
application of the modern numerical methods to the solution of environmental
and energy problems in Latvia. See homepage
